The Greek Children’s Fund in collaboration with the New Jersey Metropolis Philoptochos hosted its annual Vasilopita at Graycliff Catering.

The event was officiated by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Philotheos Tomczewski, Vicar of Northern New Jersey Region of the Metropolis of New Jersey and Father Peter Souritzidis of St. George, Clifton, New Jersey. Representing the NJ Metropolis Philoptochos was First Vice President, Alexis Limberakis with attendees representing chapters from the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John The Theologian, Tenafly, New Jersey; St. George, Clifton, New Jersey; St Nicholas, Wyckoff, New Jersey; St Athanasios, Paramus, New Jersey; and Ascension, Fairview, New Jersey.
The event was well attended and welcomed 2024 with the collaborative celebration of saving lives for over 40 years.
Master of Ceremonies, Elaine Manoliadis offered her family’s touching and heartfelt testimonial to the assistance they received from the Greek Children’s Fund 16 years ago when her son was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia cancer back in December 2006. Her son Bobby (18) who has been cancer free for 17 years, was in attendance along with the rest of the Manoliadis family.
